Our Story
Discover the unique experience of Appalachian Anglers fly fishing guides
LOCAL GUIDES
All of our guides grew up in Blue Ridge. They’re not transplants looking to make a quick buck pretending they know these fisheries. They’re locals who’ve had knowledge passed down from their fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers. These waters shaped them into who they are today. From the time they were old enough to hold a rod they’ve been fishing – long before Fannin County was considered the “Trout Capital of Georgia.” While they started at a very young age, years of perfecting their craft on our local waters led to a maturation in their skills and method of angling. The result is this area’s finest guides who understand our area better than anyone. The result is Appalachian Anglers – Blue Ridge’s only locally owned and operated guide service.
Whether you’re looking to have a leisurely float down the Toccoa River casting dry flies to rising rainbows and browns, throw large hoppers to some truly remarkable trophy fish on our private water or explore some of our areas gorgeous mountains creeks, Appalachian Anglers is the fly fishing guide service you’ve been looking for!
